I`m an amateur astronomer from Pori, Finland. My interests are in visual observing and astrophotography, I started to do astrophotography a few years ago and I was immediately blown away.
”So… Why Astrohunting?” Well Astro obviously comes from astronomy and very similiar name as my nickname (JavS) was in use by another. So I decided to change Astojavs to something else and to avoid further confusions… I also hunt and I’m considering to post few hunting texts and you could also say that I’m hunting objects in the sky… So that’s why I chose to use Astrohunting.
I have been doing visual astronomy since I was a kid (about from the age of six)… a Few years ago… (and a lot more in these days…), I decided to join a local amateur astronomy association, called Porin Karhunvartijat and now I had been chosen to be Porin Karhunvartija’s treasurer. I’m also a member of Ursa, the national astronomical association of Finland.
Besides astronomy I also love hunting (as said before), sports (Budo and Martial arts: Aikido, BJJ and MMA, and weightlifting). I have won Finnish championships and Nordic championships couple of times in the weightlifting and I have also been third at Finnish MMA Championships few years ago.
I graduated as an engineer from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences 2019 dec, I studied Construction and Civil Engineering in addition to my daily work.
